The Embassy of the United States, Adustelan is located in a large office building at 60 Soundsurf Avenue in City Center, Adustelan (also known as 1 Holland Hill Plaza). It has been the location of U.S. diplomatic operations to Carraway Island since it was built in 1979.
History (fictional)
The embassy was built on a parcel of land that was originally part of the Blightsinger Estate. The land was handed over to the city when Silas Blightsinger died in 1955, and Holland Hill Plaza would be built between then and the early 1960s. Two buildings on the plaza were built in 1969. These original buildings on the site would be demolished in 1976, and the site would remain dormant once again until 1979, when construction on the current 1 Holland Hill Plaza building began. It was not decided until later in the year that the building would become the new home to U.S. diplomatic relations, as the old building located in Kempton had become too small.
Development in Minecraft
The long walkway from Myrtle Avenue to the plaza was one of the first pedestrian plazas built in the city. It originally led to the original location of the Crestman Center; then once it was moved in early 2012, it led to an unnamed skyscraper that was never finished (until it was added back to the map in 2015; it is currently known as the Huntington Building).
The building, built by StaticAnnouncement, sits on the lot where two former unfinished skyscrapers once stood, which were started between 2011 and 2012, along with the former Holland Hill Drive and the Holland Hill Plaza subway station. The entire area was removed in January 2014, and the building opened as a stock exchange on March 16, 2014.
The building was extended and converted to an embassy on August 8, 2015. The next building to house the exchange also began construction at this time, and was repurposed a year later.
