Stations of the Adustelan Metro

DuPont Place is an unused station on the Adustelan Metro. Before it was shut down in 1997, it was serviced at all times by Line E.

It was the closest subway station to the upscale DuPont Place department store, but was one of the most seldom used stations in the City Center region by the 1990s. The station was shut down in 1997 to close a budget gap.

Talks of reopening the station emerged in 2014. Tentative maps have the station potentially reopening under the name Ocean Avenue-Dupont, though as of 2016 the station still remains closed.

Development in Minecraft

The station was originally built in 2011 by StaticAnnouncement and has been updated multiple times since then. It was designed to be dingy and depressing in its earlier incarnations as it originally served a neighborhood called Speed Heights, a run down portion of the city.

Over the years, nicer buildings were built in the area and in 2015 the name Speed Heights was dropped for that particular area, instead being absorbed into nearby City Center. The new station to accompany this change was completed on August 8, 2015.

The station was retroactively renamed as it was closed on December 23, 2016.
